7. Leave the rice inside the closed pot for another five minutes before removing.
8. Press the locking button and open the lid.
9. Remove the plug from its socket.
Preparing pre-cooked rice (instant rice)
When measuring water for instant rice, follow the instructions on the package.
1. Pour the measure water into the inner pot.
2. Place the inner pot inside the rice cooker and close the lid.
3. Insert the plug into an outlet.
4. Push the ON/OFF switch down. The red “COOKING” indicator will come on.
5. When the water is boiling, pour the measured instant rice into the inner pot.
6. Close the lid and cook the rice for as long as the package indicates.
7. Remove the plug from its socket.
8. Follow the instructions on the instant rice package.
9. Some rice brands must be left for 15 minutes under a closed lid.
Steaming
The rice cooker can also be used for steam cooking. When steaming, use the sieve.
Steaming is especially appropriate for vegetables, because when cooked in steam they
lose much less of their nutritional value than when cooked with other methods.
Vegetable Water Steaming time
Cabbage, carrots, 1 measuring cup 15 minutes
green peas
Asparagus, spinach, 1 measuring cup 15 minutes
brown and red beans
Zucchini 1 measuring cup 10 minutes
