6. Cleaning and maintenance
6.1 Safety advice
o Before beginning with repair or cleaning works make sure the device has been
disconnected from power socket (pull the power plug!) and has cooled down.
o Do not use any acid agents and make sure no water ingresses the device.
o To protect yourself from electric shock, never immerse the device, its cables and the
plug in water or other liquids.
CAUTION!
The device is not suited for direct washing via water jets. Therefore, you must not
use any kind of pressure water jet for cleaning the device!
6.2 Cleaning
o Clean the unit after every use.
o Wash all accessories (inner pot, rice spoon, measuring cup, sieve) with warm water
and a mild cleaning agent.
o Wipe the inside and outside of the outer pot with a soft, moist cloth.
CAUTION!
To avoid damaging the inner and outer pot surfaces, never use harsh, scouring or
abrasive cleaning substances, steel wool, or metal tools.
o Empty and wash the condensation tray after each use.
o Dry all elements thoroughly.
CAUTION!
Never wash the inner pot, lid or condensation tray in a dishwasher.
Tips for easier cleaning
1. Before cleaning, pour a cup of water with a drop of washing-up liquid into the inner pot.
2. Place the inner pot inside the rice cooker.
3. Push the ON/OFF switch down. The red “COOKING” indicator will come on. Wait for
the water to boil.
4. Turn off the rice cooker and remove the plug from its socket. Leave the inner pot to
cool.
5. Now it will be much easier to wash the inner pot.
